‘'St John’s Centre provides a safe environment in which people from all groups within the local community can meet together for social, educational and recreational activities.’'
This is the Mission Statement put together by the Working Party formed in 2010 to oversee the modernization and refurbishment of the old Institute as it was transformed into the new St John’s Centre. This not only makes clear the purpose of the new Centre but reaffirms the original aims of the building when it was first gifted to St John’s Parish back in 1901. It was a building to be used by the church and local community.

The group is open to anyone over 50 and we ask for a £4 donation towards the lunch. We are a friendly bunch and would love you to join us.
